Anonymous asked: can girls be freemasons? and if not why? and is there a group girls can belong to that is like the freemasons?
In the United States there are orders in the masonic family, like the Golden Chain, Eastern Star, and others, that admit women. Women, historically, in the USA didn’t want to be freemasons as they did in europe. In europe there are many grand lodges that are co-masonic and all female. They are not recognized by most lodges, but are, for the sake of the argument, masonic.
Please, don’t be anonymous and direct these questions to my masonic tumblr here: afreemason.tumblr.com/
