“Straw Bird (Chrome Casket)” - Swimmingpool The Band
I’m actually really really proud of this one. With its somewhat heavy bass and guitar, the song builds similarly to “From The Mountain”. I feel like I’ve managed something more complex with this one.
In addition to that, the vocal harmonies might be my best yet. As always, I’ll let you decide. To help with decoding (as always, I love the various interpretations I hear in my ask), I’ve been in six car crashes growing up (I still, at 23, have not learnt how to drive), with three of them being serious. This is a consistent, but not constant, theme in my lyrics and may help to decipher a bit of what I’m going on about.
