As of thursday night (when I took this picture) yours truly has officially become a Knights Templar. The Ritual was incredibly impressive (and very long). It was every bit as honorable and dramatic as I had hoped. As of now, I’m in every non-invitational masonic body of the york rite.
I’m standing on the rear staircase leading up to gothic hall where the meeting was held.
Hanging with Barry buns and watching some wrestling. Super excited for tomorrow when I’ll become a fully initiated Knights Templar.
I finally got a nice and clear picture of our lovely new cat Wharton. He’s really taken some amazing steps towards warming up and not being such a baby. He is also incredibly adorable.
Our new cat is finally warming up to the apartment. Wharton the wimp is now happily nestled into his new bed and hanging with me.
Looks like I’ve got a couch buddy for Friday Night Smackdown.
I finally got some decent lighting for a picture of me in my Masonic Temple’s lovely Oriental Hall. Last night I attended a wonderful meeting of my Royal Arch Chapter. I’m getting excited for next Thursday when I’ll become a fully fledged Knights Templar.
Tonight, it’s time for some pro-wrestling, Pokémon and Bugles.
Hanging out with Barry and watching some Tales from the Crypt until Monday Night Raw comes on. Wharton, our other cat, continues to be a wimp and is hiding somewhere in the apartment.
The ever talented HavingHorns recently converted my beaten up old Jean Jacket into a kick ass jean-vest. All of this was made better by the awesome “Happy Haunting” halloween patch sewn to the back.
In other news, our new cat, Wharton, is still being a wimp. He’s grown adept at hiding in incredibly tight spaces that are nearly impossible to get him our of.
The grey lump of cat seated beside me is our new cat, Wharton, our new cat. He’s much bigger than our other cat, Barry, and for some reason, he’s a complete wimp (when it comes to the other cat).
All in all though, he’s the complete opposite of Barry. He’s a total sweetheart and is very personable.
I can say that, as of yesterday, I officially survived a Polar Bear Plunge. I’m a member of Joppa Council No. 46 (Council of Royal and Select Master Masons) and our main charity is the Special Olympics. They donated something upwards of four hundred dollars for me to jump into the freezing waters of the Delaware River for the sake of enriching the lives of those kids.
Tonight, however, is much more warm and low-key. It’s just me, Barry and a Law & Order: CI marathon (the best law & order). Barry (the fat lump of cat seated next to me) doesn’t know it, but he may soon be getting a new friend.
I’ve had a busy week or so and I’ve got a lot more on the way. Last Thursday I received the Masonic Order of Malta (Or the Knight of the Mediterranean Pass, of Malta, Rhodes and Palestine…at least I think that’s the full title. It’s the second of three masonic orders of the Knights Templar). In receiving this honorable order I was awarded this awesome medal of a Maltese Cross.
As for the rest of the week, I’ve got Cryptic Council this Thursday and, this Saturday, I’ll be participating in a polar bear plunge to benefit the special olympics. It’s been busy, but a good kind of busy (for once).
My apologies as always for my goofy expression and awful lighting. The camera on my Nintendo 3DS is far from what one would consider great in low lighting.
Anyway, I had a busy week and it’s finally over. Pictured above is me at my Masonic Temple as I waited to receive the second Order (or Degree) of the Knights Templar. By this time next month I’ll be a fully fledged Knights Templar. For tonight, it’s time for some Planet of the Apes.
Night Crew. Cat, Pokémon White 2 and Me. I lead a terribly predictable life.
Cat’s making some dumb faces tonight as we hang out and await both Smack Down and the Blizzard.
On an unrelated note, thank god the week is almost over. I am truly exhausted.
I’m sure that it’s not noticeable from here, but, I weighed myself tonight and I’ve continued to loose weight. Over the summer, I realized that I had let myself go a bit more than I thought I did. I’ve since made a conscious effort to eat less and have, since late August/early September lost around 18 pounds and kept it off.
Other than that, it’s just another Sunday night with Barry and some drink.
Back from work and settling down to some much needed kitty-bun bro time. I’m tempted to wake him up out of spite (since he keeps waking me up) but he’s too damn cute.
